  • val and me

This is me and My Val in Tennessee. That baby is Hannah who is now 5 years old. My goodness how time flies! One day they are babies and the next day they are off to college! So sad isn't it?!?

  • The Queen

Well today we got rid of our King size bed. We're trying out the Queen, but I'm thinking it's not working very well.  We also got rid of the hideous bulky love seat! Out with the old and in with the new. I scored on an office chair for the house and a black little desk like table for my room to put my laptop and work stuff on. My husband says it's just something else to clutter up. I have something he can clutter! My Val would be proud! She always has great luck at finding things at yard sales, thrift stores, or even out by the road side for garbage! I like to find old funiture and give it a face lift but never have the time. My daughter's are outside cutting up a falling limb from our huge oak tree. It appears they are turning it into a tipi or possible an extra room on the house. Think I'll put my husband out there if he makes one more remark about my cleaning skills!!! Besides that "Queen" size bed is just right for this "Queen"!

  • A little girl's dream

I have survived the first week of teaching! Yes, teaching! I was offered a wonderful oppurtunity teaching phlebotomy. I was scared to death my first day! All I could think was, "I'm going to fail!" I was so afraid of what the students would think of me. Well on Thursday it went great! I have never had the feeling of being proud of myself until that moment. That moment when I stood in front of 22 students and became what I dreamed of when I was just a little girl - a teacher. It felt so right being there. I think I'm going to do just fine!

  • Shopping with my Gals

Today I shopped with my sister-in-law (and best friend) Val, her mom, and my other sister-in-law Marguerite. We went to my favorite, sweet little town, Mount Dora! We tried to hit every shop but this sleeply little town only keeps the shops open until 5:00pm on a Saturday! What kind of crap is that? It doesn't matter though because I had so much fun! I found a beautiful dragonfly doorknocker (and my Val got it for me  ) I had a "Oh Nate" drink from a waiter named...."Oh Nate"! Yummy! I'm looking forward to our Maine trip together, just me, my Val, and Marguerite! We are going to have a freaking blast! Luv it!
